Travis Saul boasts experience as a former prosecutor before becoming a criminal defense attorney in the metro Atlanta area and in Augusta, providing a perspective many defense attorneys simply don’t have – and one that enables him to see through the other side’s strategy before stepping foot in the courtroom.

When he was a prosecutor, one of his responsibilities was training other prosecutors how to conduct jury trial, bench trials, bond and probation hearings, and other pretrial hearings in cases ranging from drug offenses and thefts to DUI and domestic violence cases. Now, he puts that experience to work for you as your criminal defense attorney.

Saul earned his Juris Doctor in 1996 from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, an ABA accredited law school famous for producing two Supreme Court justices, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and plenty of governors and senators. Previously, he earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia.

His time in prosecution in Richmond County and the metro Atlanta area for over five years led him into establishing his own private practice, where he has successfully defended his clients as their criminal defense attorney of choice for over 15 years. His clients hail from many areas around the state, from Augusta, Evans, Thomson, Grovetown, and Hephzibah to Lincolnton, Waynesboro, Statesboro, and Appling. He has appeared in many county courthouses, ranging from Richmond County and Columbia County to Athens-Clarke County, Fulton County, Burke and Bulloch County.
